Safety tips
Most shoots here are with people you haven't met before. A little planning keeps everyone safe.
Before the shoot
- Look at their profile, verification badge and portfolio. Trust your instinct.
- Keep the conversation in the Girlthrough chat so there's a record.
- Agree in writing: time, place, roles, outfits, and how the photos will be used.
- For a first meeting, choose a public place or a known studio rather than a private home.
On the day
- Tell a friend where you're going and when you expect to finish; share your live location.
- Arrange your own transport and keep your phone charged.
- You can stop a shoot at any time if you feel uncomfortable. No one is owed anything.
If something goes wrong
- If you are in danger, call 999 (UK) or 112 (EU) — or your local emergency number.
- Tell us through Report a problem as soon as you can.
